Jr. High Youth Rally
September 18-19, 2010
For those entering the 7th and 8th grade. This 24-hour event includes making new friends, incredible Bible study time, music, games, outdoor
activities, campfire devotions, worship time, and inspiring speakers John & Mary Durkin all in the setting of God’s great outdoors! To Register turn
in the 2-sided medical release form with $25 or a check made out to Grace Lutheran Church by August 22. Registration packets will be available
Sunday, August 8.

Based on Registration numbers, we might need an additional male chaperone for the Jr. High youth Rally September 18th-19th. If you are

Sr. High Youth Gathering
November 12-14, 2010
Miss out on the National Youth Gathering or wishing you could go back? Save the date for this year’s District Youth Gathering, open to those in
9th-12th grade. Watch this space for registration information in a few weeks.

Youth Group
For High School Youth
The Grace Youth Group meets every 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month from 6pm-8pm. Activities include
Bible study, games, fellowship and (usually) food! Along with these meetings, the Youth Group is involved
in many serving, fellowship, fun and faith-building events.

Serving
Many times throughout the year, the youth of Grace take part in service opportunities including road
clean-up, serving Easter breakfast, yard work and rummage sales just to name a few. These opportunities
are a great way for the youth to bond with one another, help their "neighbor", and learn a good work ethic.

Fun
Every year, there are ample opportunities for our youth to participate in activities that are all about fun!
Canoeing, bowling and a New Year's Eve lock-in have been some past activities.

Faith-Building
Of course, probably the most important activities for the youth to participate in, are faith-building events.
These include state-wide and national youth gatherings. These gatherings offer life-changing experiences.
They allow the youth to join with thousands of other young people who share the same faith through
worship, concerts, skits and prayer.

Confirmation
The confirmation program at Grace Lutheran is a two-year program based on Faith Inkubators for our
middle school students. This is a multi-media program that helps the kids interact with their lessons
through music, art, online games and family devotions. Confirmation prepares our kids by teaching them
doctrines of the Lutheran Church that they may grow their faith and become active members of the
congregation.
